Congrats to the Rockies. What they're doing right now is pretty remarkable, miraculous even. They're on the greatest run in MLB history. It's simply unbelievable. If you had told me at the start of the season that the Rox would be in the World Series, I would have knocked you unconscious and stolen that crazy shit you were smoking.
I'm a baseball fan and I'm as excited as the next mouth-breathing bandwagon jumper for the local nine, but please, lets not forget that this is still a football town. No matter how bad the Broncos are (and they're not looking so hot right now) they're still king of the hill in this overgrown cow-town...and they always will be.
I'm sick of reading and hearing missives along the lines of "who cares about the Broncos now? They suck." Well.....I care, motherfucker. I'd trade this WS berth for a win on Sunday in a split second, and I bet a lot of you would too.

as a ten year Rockies season ticket holder, I wouldn't trade the WS berth for a win on Sunday, not by a long shot. In fact, I'm not sure I would trade a WS ring for an SB ring. Te Rox need fans, and in Denver, a ring probably equals a good 5 years of good fan support. The Broncos are good regardless.
On the plus side, I'll certainly accept a baseball champeenship and a Broncos win
Understood. Obviously I'm a much bigger Broncos football fan than a baseball fan....and I hate to say this, but I'm more of a bay area baseball guy. I'm still pulling for them, though.
gotta go with HV here, Herc. I would trade a World Series for a Donks win over the Steelers every day of the week that ends in "y"
People from other towns were right when they said baseball run just had that different mystique than football. Must be nostalgia or something, like 'Field of Dreams' type ish.
That being said, the Broncos are probably as glad as anyone the Rox are on this. Without the run, focus 100% on them and their bad play. One.
